In recent years, apartment owners have found it increasingly difficult to find a tenant who will pay rent for years.
That’s why they decide to rent out the apartment on a daily basis, because then their biggest concern is to have a guest in the apartment at least eight days a month.
Namely, that is how much is needed on average to pay the rent that would be received for a month of regular rent, 24 Hour writes. In daily rental ads, larger apartments are mostly offered, which are otherwise difficult to rent out. Prices, depending on the size, equipment and location, range from seven euros (on the outskirts) to 75 euros (large apartments in the center).
However, despite the fact that the number of agencies that rent apartments is growing daily, Nedeljko Malinović, owner of the Legat agency, believes that this kind of business is not worth it. – It is risky, because the apartment may be damaged, there may not be enough interested parties… and then the agency bears the costs. People do that more in private. I don’t even know why someone would rent an apartment for 30 euros a day when they can go to a hostel for 10 – says Malinović in 24 hours, as reported by Kamatica.com.
By the way, estimates are that in Belgrade, around 600 apartments are rented illegally and that they have not passed any control by the authorities. In the capital, about 1,200 beds in private accommodation passed all the necessary controls , and those apartments were categorized, usually three to four stars.
The rule for daily rentals is to enter the apartment early in the morning, unless the apartment was not occupied the day before. Then the practice is that the “former” tenant leaves the apartment by noon, and the new one enters at 1 p.m., after cleaning.
